Terms and Conditions
These Terms and Conditions apply to orders placed through the Gransfield website. By placing an order, you agree to these terms together with our Delivery Information, Returns & Refunds Policy and Privacy Policy.
Nothing in these terms affects your statutory consumer rights.
Orders and payment
When you place an order, you are offering to purchase the products in your basket. Your order is accepted when we confirm that it has been prepared or dispatched.
If we cannot fulfil an order, we will contact you and refund any payment taken for the unavailable items.
All prices are shown in pounds sterling and include VAT. Delivery charges and the total amount payable will be shown before checkout.
You must provide complete and accurate contact, payment and delivery information.
Plants and availability
All plants are subject to availability. If a plant becomes unavailable, we may offer an alternative, a later dispatch date or a refund. We will not substitute a plant without your agreement.
Plants are living, seasonal products. Their size, shape, colour, maturity and flowering stage will naturally vary. Website photographs may show an established plant in flower and may not represent its exact appearance when delivered.
Depending on the variety and time of year, plants may arrive in active growth, dormant or recently cut back. We may prune plants before dispatch so they can be packed securely and delivered safely. Appropriate pruning, dormancy and normal seasonal variation are not faults.
Delivery
Standard delivery costs £5.99 unless a free-delivery offer applies.
Please allow up to 10 working days for dispatch. Orders are sent using Royal Mail Tracked 48, which aims to deliver within two to three working days after dispatch. Delivery times are estimates and may vary for certain postcodes or circumstances outside our control.
We deliver throughout the UK wherever Royal Mail Tracked 48 is available.
Gransfield remains responsible for your order until it has been delivered to you or to a safe place or neighbour specifically authorised by you.
Please see our Delivery Information page for full details.
Cancellations, returns and refunds
Contact Gransfieldplants@gmail.com as soon as possible if you wish to change or cancel an order. We can normally cancel an order that has not yet been prepared or dispatched.
Please inspect and unpack your plants promptly after delivery. If a plant arrives materially damaged, faulty, incorrect or not as described, contact us as soon as possible with your order number and clear photographs.
Depending on the circumstances and your legal rights, an appropriate remedy may include plant-care guidance, a replacement, a partial refund or a full refund.
Please contact us before returning any plant. Our full cancellation, return and refund arrangements are explained on our Returns & Refunds page.
Caring for plants after delivery
You are responsible for providing suitable care after successful delivery.
We cannot normally accept responsibility for deterioration caused after delivery by delayed unpacking, insufficient or excessive watering, unsuitable planting conditions, extreme weather, pests, disease, accidental damage or failure to follow reasonable care requirements.
This does not affect your rights if a plant was faulty, materially damaged or not as described when delivered.
Our responsibility
We are responsible for foreseeable losses caused by our breach of these terms or failure to use reasonable care.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability where doing so would be unlawful, including your statutory rights concerning faulty, damaged or misdescribed goods.
Personal information
We use personal information to process payments, fulfil orders, arrange delivery and provide customer service.
Information may be shared with payment providers, Royal Mail and other providers where necessary to complete your order. Please see our Privacy Policy for further information.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Customers elsewhere in the United Kingdom retain any mandatory consumer protections available where they live.
